About tandyland_8yry1l

I'm a mom, grandmother and curious about most everything. I love to craft, read, garden and spend time with family. As a single woman, and then a young married with two children I traveled the world widely out of curiosity and later due to my husband's job. I'm a study in contrasts. I'm painfully shy when I meet people but have an impulsive, adventurous side that's led me to places as far afield as Morocco, Mexico, and much of Europe. I have a busy life because I have so many interests: Card creation, scrap booking, altered books, miniature building, Lego constructs, doll making, clay art, acrylic painting, all-around crafting. Come back often to see what I've added. I love to share and hope you can learn something occasionally by visiting.

Anyone can be creative

So many people are quick to say, “I’m not creative. I just don’t have any talent.” In reality everyone is creative. It’s perspective that’s lacking. Pablo Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up.” A child is not afraid to create. They don’t stop to wonder, “Can I do this?” They just do it. They innately sense those words of wisdom that tennis great Arthur Ashe relayed, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”

Creativity doesn’t wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones.
